July 12th and July 26th

Marietta Square Artist Market. This is a small artist market at the heart of downtown Marietta, but it is one of my favorite little festivals to be at. The ladies that run it are nice and it is next to a farmer’s market so I like to sneak over there and do some of my own food shopping.

For July 5th I made a discovery about nature… the mulberry tree. I had known the song “don’t sit under the mulberry tree with anyone else but me” but had never realized what that tree was. It’s like a black berry tree!! For the setup I had to walk a path that was just covered in the residue and I got some on me just from trying to walk around all the fallen bits of fruit! The guy in purple is my partner in crime, Stephen.

August 16th-17th
Piedmont Park Festival. I haven’t done this festival before so I am looking forward to seeing what it brings! Vendors who have done this festival have spoken highly of it. It is supposed to be a pretty large festival with 300+ vendors.

Update: I really enjoyed Piedmont! It was the BEST WEATHER I had ever had for a two day festival. I hope ever festival I go to I have such great crowds and weather. It did end up raining, but it was so brief that it didn’t shake the crowds at all and even cooled things down a little bit.
